Charles Koch: ‘It’s possible’ Clinton would be better president than a Republican
Billionaire businessman and campaign funding powerhouse Charles Koch said he thinks it’s possible a Hillary Clinton presidency would be better than putting a Republican back in the White House.
{mosads}“It’s possible. It’s possible,” Koch said in an interview with ABC that will air in full on Sunday’s “This Week.”
When asked if he could see himself supporting the Democratic front-runner’s run for president, Koch hesitantly said, “We would have to believe her actions would be quite different than her rhetoric, let me put it that way.”
He also said that Bill Clinton was in some ways a better president than George W. Bush.
“In some ways. In other ways, I mean he wasn’t an exemplar. But as far as the growth of government, the increase in spending, it was 2.5 times under Bush than it was under Clinton,” Koch said.
Clinton responded in a pointed tweet on Sunday afternoon, rejecting the theoretical endorsement.
Not interested in endorsements from people who deny climate science and try to make it harder for people to vote. https://t.co/TWN4zYhMBh
