Bush slams sarcastic reporter: ‘Take a hike, man’
In response to a question making fun of the exclamation mark in his “Jeb!” campaign logo, Republican presidential hopeful Jeb Bush on Saturday told a reporter to “take a hike, man.”
Fending off attacks from GOP front-runner Donald Trump that he is a “low-energy” candidate, Bush said at a rally in Bedford, N.H., that American needs a “quieter” president.
{mosads}“We need a president who doesn’t talk a big game,” he said. “In fact, I would argue that the next president needs to be a little quieter.”
The remark prompted an inquiry from a Yahoo! News reporter, who questioned the propriety of the exclamation mark.
“Governor, you said we need a quieter president. Do you still think the exclamation point is the best representative for you?” the reporter asked.
“Take a hike, man,” Bush responded.
