Poll: Obama up big in swing state New Hampshire

{mosads}Obama gets the support of 49 percent of likely voters in the poll, compared to 41 percent for Romney. That’s a greater margin than the 50-44 percent edge Obama enjoyed earlier this month. 

The poll could be an outlier, as most recent New Hampshire polling shows the candidates tied or within 1 point of each other. 

A Public Policy Polling survey released this week showed Romney leading 49-48, a Rasmussen poll showed Obama up 50-49 and a Suffolk University poll showed the candidates tied at 47.

According to the RealClearPolitics average of polls, Obama holds a slim 1-point lead.

The president is boosted in the UNH poll by women; he holds a 23-point lead over Romney among female voters.

The Granite State Poll of 773 likely voters has a 3.5 percent margin of error.
