Ind. Gov. Pence weighing presidential run
Indiana Gov. Mike Pence (R) is weighing a presidential run, according to The Washington Post.
{mosads}Pence, a former congressman with close ties to both social and fiscal conservatives, told the Post he’s being courted by some activists.
“In the last few months, people have reached out,” Pence said. “I’m listening.”
He’s also traveling to a number of other states to help his fellow governors fundraise. He’s been a vocal opponent of Common Core, the education standards that have become anathema on the right, and has cut taxes in Indiana.
The story includes kind words from Club for Growth President Chris Chocola, a former Indiana congressman, and former House Majority Leader Dick Armey (R-Texas).
