Jeb Bush: Obama ‘incompetent’ on Ebola

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush on Tuesday called President Obama’s initial handling of the spread of Ebola in the U.S. “incompetent,” saying his actions stoked fears among Americans about the virus.

Speaking at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Bush said he supports travel restrictions for those who have been to Ebola-stricken countries.

He is the latest Republican presidential hopeful to assail Obama’s approach on the deadly outbreak as the White House has consistently pushed back against implementing a travel ban on three West Africa nations at the center of the Ebola epidemic.

Bush contrasted Obama’s response to Ebola to his actions as governor when anthrax was mailed to a supermarket in Florida after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, according to The Associated Press.

He ended the speech by saying he’s not “freaking out” about whether to run for president.
