Sanders up by double digits one day before NH primary

Bernie Sanders owns a double-digit lead over Hillary Clinton one day before New Hampshire’s Democratic presidential primary, according to a new tracking poll.

{mosads}Sanders leads Clinton by 16 points among likely Democratic-leaning primary voters in the new University of Massachusetts-Lowell/7 News survey.

The Vermont lawmaker takes 56 percent voter support, compared with Clinton’s 40 percent.

About 4 percent remain undecided before Tuesday’s critical early voting contest pollsters found.

Sanders is down 1 point in Monday’s poll, while Clinton’s support is unchanged.

New Hampshire’s likely Democratic-leaning primary voters are generally loyal toward one of their party’s contenders, pollsters additionally discovered.

About 82 percent are “definitely” backing Sanders versus 79 percent who feel the same about Clinton. Another 18 percent “could change their mind” about the senator, contrasted with 21 percent who may abandon Clinton.  

UMass-Lowell/7 News conducted its latest poll of 407 likely Democratic-leaning primary voters in New Hampshire via cellphone and landline interviews Feb. 5–7. It has a 5.52 percent margin of error.
