Trump open to more debates

Donald Trump said Thursday night he’d be open to doing more debates, even as speculation swirled that the GOP presidential front-runner might be done debating during the primaries.

Speaking to CNN anchor Chris Cuomo following the Republican debate in Miami, Trump acknowledged that he’s growing tired of the repeated prime-time showdowns. But he said that he’d likely be in for the remaining two on the books.

{mosads}“I don’t know, someone said they wanted more debates. I think we’ve had enough of the debates, wouldn’t you say?” Trump said. “I’ve had enough of the debates. You love them because of the ratings. The ratings are very good.”

“I think they want to do two more debates and I guess I’m pretty much ok with it,” he added.

Trump may have been swayed by the civility of Thursday night’s affair. CNN kept the focus on policy, and there were very few fireworks between the candidates.

“I thought it was a very elegant debate, I thought it was very substantive,” Trump said. “And we needed this kind of debate, we needed this tone.”
