Clinton releases new ad claiming she’s ‘tough enough to stop Trump’
Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton early Monday released a new ad in New York claiming she is the only candidate strong enough to stop Donald Trump.
The 30-second ad, titled “Stronger Together,” references comments made by Trump, starting with abortion.
{mosads}”He says we should punish women who have abortions,” a narrator says, flashing pictures of the faces of women.
The ad then shows a clip of the Republican front-runner saying that there has to be “some form of punishment.”
The ad also references Trump’s attacks on Mexicans who come to America and his plans to shut down Muslim immigration into the United States.
“Donald Trump says we can solve America’s problems by turning against each other,” Clinton says in a clip in the ad.
“It’s wrong, and it goes against everything New York and America stand for.”
“With so much at stake, she’s the one tough enough to stop Trump,” the narrator concludes.
The ad will air in New York City this week.
The New York primary will be held in April 19. Clinton leads rival Bernie Sanders by 14 points in the state, according to the RealClearPolitics average of polls.
