RNC chairman calls for party to unify behind Trump
Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus called on the party to unite behind presumptive presidential nominee Donald Trump minutes after Ted Cruz announced he would suspend his campaign.
Trump said it was time for the GOP to unify around Trump to defeat likely Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.

Cruz dropped out of the race shortly news broke Tuesday night that Trump had won Indiana’s primary in what was shaping up to be a landslide.
Trump praised Priebus during his victory speech Tuesday night, saying he had just spoken to the RNC chairman.
“He’s doing a tremendous job, it’s not an easy job — when he had 17 egos, and now I guess he’s down to one,” Trump said, referring to the GOP field.
“We want to bring unity to the Republican Party.”
