Trump highlights rating of ‘4 Pinocchios’ for Clinton’s email claim
Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump on Monday highlighted a fact-checking article giving Hillary Clinton “four Pinocchios” for claims she made Sunday regarding her private email server.
Trump tweeted “#CrookedHillary” with a link to an article in The Washington Post about the Democratic nominee’s claim that FBI Director James Comey said her statements about the server were truthful.

Clinton made the remark Sunday in an interview on “Fox News Sunday.”
“Director Comey said my answers were truthful, and what I’ve said is consistent with what I have told the American people, that there were decisions discussed and made to classify retroactively certain … emails,” she said.
She was responding to a video clip of her saying she had “not sent classified material nor received anything marked classified.”
The Washington Post’s fact checker said Clinton has relied on “excessively technical and legalistic answers to explain her answers.”
“While Comey did say there was no evidence she lied to the FBI, that is not the same as saying she told the truth to the American public — which was the point of Wallace’s question. Comey has repeatedly not taken a stand on her public statements,” The Post said.
“And although Comey did say many emails were retroactively classified, he also said that there were some emails that were already classified that should not have been sent on an unclassified, private server. That’s the uncomfortable truth that Clinton has trouble admitting.”
Trump often attacks Clinton and questions her judgment regarding her use of the unusual private email setup while serving as secretary of State.
