Donald Trump on Wednesday refused to say he would accept the results of the presidential election, continuing to warn that the election is “rigged” against him.

“The media is so dishonest and so corrupt and the pile on is so amazing, The New York Times wrote an article about it. They don’t even care, it’s so dishonest, they’ve poisoned the minds of the voters, but unfortunately for them, I think the voters are seeing through it.”
Trump said he’ll keep Americans in “suspense” as to whether he’d accept the results of the election.
Clinton currently leads Trump in most national polls and in the majority of the key swing states.
She responded to Trump’s comments by blasting him and asserting that accepting the results of an election is fundamental to American democracy.
“This is how Donald thinks, it’s funny, but it’s really troubling. That is not the way our democracy works,” Clinton said.
“We’ve been around for 240 years, we’ve had free and fair elections, we’ve accepted the outcomes when we may not have liked them and that’s what should be expected of anyone standing on a debate stage during a general election.”
Trump’s comments come just hours after his daughter, Ivanka, said that she expected her father to abide by the results of the election. And just days before, GOP vice presidential nominee Mike Pence said on NBC’s “Meet the Press” that the ticket would “absolutely accept the results of the election.”
