Kirk, speaking Spanish, hits Trump in new ad: ‘Yo no apoyo a Trump’

{mosads}In the 30-second ad, aimed at Hispanics, Kirk says “Yo no apoyo a Trump,” which means “I do not support Trump” in Spanish.

Kirk is defending his seat in a competitive race against Rep. Tammy Duckworth (D-Ill.) as the Republicans seek to keep control of the Senate.

Cook Political Report has rated the race as leaning Democrat, giving the advantage to Duckworth.

Kirk withdrew his support for Trump after he attack a federal judge born in Indiana, saying his “Mexican heritage” prevented him from fairly overseeing a case involving Trump University.
