Donald Trump’s long-time doctor said he spent five minutes writing his letter last year that claimed Trump would be healthiest president ever elected, according to an NBC report.

Dr. Harold Bornstein told NBC Nightly News that he wrote the letter endorsing Trump’s physical condition while a limo sent by his campaign was parked outside the doctor’s office.

“I tried to get four or five lines down as fast as possible,” he said.

Bornstein said he wrote the letter himself, but added, “I think I might have picked up his kind of language and then interpreted it as my own.”

{mosads}Bornstein wrote last December that Trump would be healthier than every other president at the time they were elected, a claim considered impossible to prove.

When asked about the statement, Borstein told NBC: “I like that sentence to be quite honest with you and all the rest of them are either sick or dead.”

The letter’s hyperbolic statements about Trump’s “astonishingly excellent” health were also widely mocked at the time by his Democratic opponents, as well as health experts.

In his NBC interview, Bornstein doubled down on his statements and reiterated: “His health is excellent, especially his mental health.”

Bornstein told NBC that he did not reread the letter before sending it to the campaign to be blasted to national media outlets. The Manhattan doctor, who has seen Trump for about 35 years, said he did consider what to say before sitting down to write it.

Trump, who is 70, would be the oldest president ever elected.

Democratic attacks against Trump’s health have resurfaced this week as the GOP nominee has given nods to some conservative bloggers who have claimed Hillary Clinton, 68, has lied about her own health.
