Ex-CIA chief: Lady Liberty ‘weeping’ over Trump’s ‘atrocious’ comments
Former CIA Director John Brennan said Thursday that Lady Liberty is “weeping” over President Trump’s “atrocious” reference to immigrants being from “shithole countries.”
“Lady Liberty, our founding fathers, and generations of right-thinking Americans are all weeping tonight over the atrocious comments attributed to Donald Trump, who continues to demonstrate daily that he is a deeply flawed person,” Brennan tweeted.

Trump drew immediate criticism from lawmakers and media figures for his Thursday comments at an Oval Office meeting on immigration, where he pushed back against restoring protected status to immigrants from “shithole countries” such as Haiti, El Salvador and African nations.
Brennan, an appointee of former President Obama who led the intelligence agency until 2017, is a frequent critic of Trump’s foreign policy. In recent months, Brennan has ripped the president for scrapping the Iran nuclear deal and being outsmarted by Russian President Vladimir Putin in regards to the nation’s meddling in the 2016 U.S. election.
