Antifa protests against right-wing student group officials eating at Philadelphia restaurant

Liberal protesters on Monday morning surrounded a Philadelphia restaurant where leaders of Turning Point USA (TPUSA), a right-wing organization for conservative college students, were eating breakfast.

The protesters followed Charlie Kirk, TPUSA’s founder and president, and Candace Owens, the organization’s communications director, as they exited the restaurant and walked through the city, according to videos posted by Owens.

Kirk and Owens were accompanied by Philadelphia police officers during the protest. 

The protest group, which is commonly referred to as antifa, poured water on Kirk.

Owens posted videos of the confrontation on Twitter, claiming antifa protesters were against her for being “a black woman” eating breakfast.  

To be clear: ANTIFA, an all-white fascist organization, just grew violent and attacked an all-black and Hispanic police force.

Because I, a BLACK woman, was eating breakfast.

In the videos posted by Owens, protesters can be seen swarming her and Kirk, shouting “F— white supremacy!” and “1, 2, 3, f— the bourgeoise!” as the TPUSA leaders stand with several police officers.

Kirk smiles throughout the video while Owens responds to protesters with her own chant: “We love the police, we love America.”

The protest is the latest direct confrontation against conservatives figures across the country.

Protesters in recent months have publicly confronted the Environmental Protection Agency’s former administrator Scott Pruitt before his resignation, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, and Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen, among others.
