NY Daily News rips Trump over David Duke support
A major New York newspaper is again hammering Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, pointing to a former Ku Klux Klan leader’s support of Trump.
“TRUMP FOR PREZ,” the New York Daily News’ Friday cover states in bold letters, with an image of someone wearing a white hood reminiscent of the KKK staring at the reader.
“Ex-KKK leader: Vote for Donald, he’s just like us!” the cover’s subtitle reads.

{mosads}Reports emerged Thursday that former KKK grand wizard David Duke had praised Trump’s wins in Nevada and South Carolina this month, saying that voting against Trump is “really treason to your heritage.”
“I’m not saying I endorse everything about Trump, in fact I haven’t formally endorsed him. But I do support his candidacy, and I support voting for him as a strategic action. I hope he does everything we hope he will do,” Duke said during a radio program.
The Daily News has repeatedly criticized Trump in recent months, portraying the businessman-turned GOP candidate on multiple covers as a clown with “brain dead” supporters.
Trump has mostly dismissed the tabloid, describing it as a failing publication.
