Megyn Kelly’s husband: Trump ‘knocked everybody off balance except for her’

Novelist Doug Brunt, who is married to Fox New’s Megyn Kelly, says presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump has “knocked everybody off balance” during the 2016 presidential campaign — except his wife.

{mosads}“Through this whole campaign season, Trump has been masterful at knocking people off balance,” Brunt said during a Fox News interview Monday. 

“Think all the way back to Jeb Bush, when he called him low energy,” Brunt continued. “Same thing with [Ted] Cruz and [Marco] Rubio; he starts getting really nasty with those guys. They respond nasty. … He’s knocked everybody off balance except for her. These are seasoned politicians with teams of advisers and he broke them down, but not Meg.” 

Kelly later noted she does have “a team” behind her, which includes her husband and Fox News chairman and CEO Roger Ailes.  

Trump has publicly slammed Kelly since she questioned his past remarks about women during the first Republican presidential debate in August. 

Kelly recently interviewed Trump, and the segment is set to air at 8 p.m. Tuesday on the Fox broadcast network.
