Donald Trump could become the most litigious commander in chief ever elected, according to a new analysis that found an unprecedented number of lawsuits involving a presidential candidate.

Trump and his businesses have been involved in at least 3,500 legal actions in state and federal courts over the last 30 years, a Wednesday USA Today report found.

{mosads}In more than half of the lawsuits — about 1,900 — Trump or his companies are the plaintiff, while in about 1,450 cases they are the defendant. The rest are bankruptcy or other cases.

The lawsuits involved a range of issues including casino patrons, multi-million dollar real estate lawsuits, personal defamation suits, Trump’s golf courses and business ventures.

Trump is known for his legal battles and even threatened his Republican rivals with litigation in his quest to lock up the Republican nomination earlier this year.

While Trump may not have sued any of his political rivals, USA Today found that at least 70 new cases involving the candidate have been filed since he launched his campaign last year.

Fifty civil lawsuits remain open as Trump moves toward officially claiming the nomination at the Republican National Convention in late July, according to the report.

Court documents were released Tuesday in a case brought by former students accusing the now-defunct Trump University of fraud, saying they were misled and left saddled with debt.

Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton slammed the “fraudulent scheme” after documents in the case were unsealed detailing the for-profit real estate school.
