Trump says he will give control of businesses to his sons before the inauguration
President-elect Donald Trump announced over Twitter late Monday night that he will hand over control of his businesses to his two adult sons before he takes the oath of office.
“Even though I am not mandated by law to do so, I will be leaving my busineses (sic) before January 20th so I can focus full time on the Presidency. Two of my children, Don and Eric, plus executives, will manage them. No new deals will be done during my term(s) in office,” Trump wrote in two tweets.

He did not mention his daughter Ivanka’s role in the businesses. She and her family are reportedly planning to move to Washington.
Earlier Monday evening, Trump postponed a press conference detailing his plans for his businesses while in office. The press conference was originally scheduled to take place Thursday.
