José Andrés to Trump: Let’s end lawsuits, donate to vets
Washington-based celebrity chef José Andrés has proposed that he and President-elect Donald Trump stop their legal dispute and donate the money to “Veterans NGO” instead.
“Mr. @realDonaldTrump can we end our lawsuits and we donate $ to a Veterans NGO to celebrate? Why keep litigating? Let’s both of us win,” he tweeted on Tuesday.

{mosads}Trump sued the celebrity chef after Andrés refused to open a flagship restaurant in Trump’s Washington hotel in 2015.
Andrés blamed Trump’s statements about immigrants for stopping him from moving forward with the deal.
“Donald Trump’s recent statements disparaging immigrants make it impossible for my company and I to move forward with opening a successful Spanish restaurant in Trump International’s upcoming hotel in Washington, D.C.,” Andrés said in statement at the time, announcing his decision.
The $10 million breach-of-contract lawsuit is ongoing, with Trump scheduled to provide a deposition right before his inauguration in January, The Washington Post reported on Monday.
