Colbert: Moore’s supporters going door to door, just like Moore has to do when he moves to a new place
Late-night host Stephen Colbert jabbed GOP Senate candidate Roy Moore on Monday over allegations that he pursued sexual and romantic relations with teenagers when he was in his 30s.
“The Alabama Senate election is tomorrow, and Roy Moore supporters spent the weekend going door to door, just like Roy Moore has to do when he moves into a new neighborhood,” he said on CBS’s “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.”
The shot at Moore came a day before Alabama voters began heading to the polls on Tuesday for the state’s special Senate election.

Moore is facing off against Democrat Doug Jones in a race that has grown increasingly competitive since allegations against Moore surfaced last month. One woman said Moore initiated a sexual encounter with her when she was 14 and he was 32.
Moore has denied the allegations and rebuffed calls from many Republican lawmakers and officials to withdraw from the race.
He received a boost last week when President Trump endorsed his campaign. That same day, the Republican National Committee reinstated its support for Moore in Alabama.
