Trump starts 2018 at golf club
President Trump is beginning 2018 at his private Florida golf club, according to a reporter traveling with the president.
Trump left his Mar-a-Lago resort Monday morning just before 8:45 a.m. and arrived at his Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Fla., a few minutes later.
Trump is playing with PGA golfer Fred Funk and his son Taylor, according to the White House.
Trump’s early morning trip marks the seventh day in a row he’s visited his golf club.
{mosads}On Friday, Trump hosted Coast Guard members at the golf course to thank them for their response to Hurricane Harvey in Texas and Hurricane Irma in Florida.
The president, who has said he is on a “working vacation” at his Mar-a-Lago resort for the holidays, tweeted on Christmas night that he would get “back to work” the following day.

Trump is set to return to Washington later today. The president tweeted Monday morning that there is “much work to be done” in 2018.

Trump’s latest trip to his golf course marks the 117th day at one of his own properties since taking office and the 91st day at one of his golf clubs, according to an NBC News tally.
