Crossroads apologizes for tweet suggesting Commerce secretary driving drunk
{mosads}Josh Dorner, communications director for the progressive blog ThinkProgress, took a screenshot of the tweet before it was deleted. It reads: “How does @CommerceSec have 3 car crashes in 5 minutes and alcohol NOT be involved? #Skills”
“Earlier Bryson tweet with hashtag #skills attempted levity (before facts known) and failed miserably. We took it down and regret the tweet,” Crossroads tweeted about two hours after the first tweet.
The Karl Rove-backed group has demonstrated huge fundraising power and is expected to be one of a handful of outside spending groups with substantial influence over the November elections.
