Longtime Trump supporter: ‘Trump just screwed his base’ on DACA deal with Dems
A longtime supporter of President Trump blasted the president after Democratic leaders in Congress said he agreed to work toward a deal to protect young undocumented immigrants from deportation.
“No wall. DACA enshrined. Trump didn’t make a deal w Chuck and Nancy,” former Rep. Joe Walsh (R-Ill.) tweeted.
“Trump got screwed by Chuck and Nancy. Trump just screwed his base.”
No wall.

Trump just screwed his base.

{mosads}Walsh said in a series of tweets that he had hoped Trump would do what he promised, but he was wrong. He urged conservatives to fight hard, saying, “We no longer have a friend in the White House.”
NONE of this is a surprise. I voted 4 Trump knowing he wasn’t a Conservative & knowing he had no core.
I voted 4 the wall & against amnesty

The comments came after Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said in a statement following a Wednesday night meeting with Trump that they agreed to “enshrine the protections of DACA into law quickly, and to work out a package of border security, excluding the wall, that’s acceptable to both sides.”
The White House quickly pushed back on that statement, saying that while border security and DACA were discussed, the president didn’t agree to exclude funding for the border wall from the package.
Trump also rejected the statement, saying early Thursday there was no deal made on DACA.
No deal was made last night on DACA. Massive border security would have to be agreed to in exchange for consent. Would be subject to vote.

In subsequent tweets, Trump appeared to defend DACA recipients, questioning why people would want to throw out “good, educated and accomplished young people.”
Does anybody really want to throw out good, educated and accomplished young people who have jobs, some serving in the military? Really!…..
