Trump: I guarantee everyone who has bought a Harley-Davidson voted for me
President Trump claimed on Sunday that everyone who has ever bought a Harley-Davidson motorcycle voted for him in the 2016 presidential election.
“I guarantee you everybody that ever bought a Harley-Davidson voted for Trump,” Trump said on Fox News’s “Sunday Morning Futures.” “I don’t know if you know that. I would have to — they call them bikers for Trump. There’s hundreds.”

Trump’s comments come amid an escalating feud between the Milwaukee-based motorcycle company and the president.
Last week, Harley-Davidson said in a filing that it would manufacture motorcycles for the international market in overseas factories, citing the European Union’s (EU) recent decision to implement tariffs on motorcycles imported from the U.S. as justification for the move.
Harley-Davidson said tariffs on its motorcycles rose from 6 percent to 31 percent in recent weeks.
Those tariffs came in response to steep steel and aluminum tariffs that Trump placed on EU nations.
Trump responded to the move by repeatedly calling out Harley-Davidson and warning that its business would suffer if it followed through with its decision.
“Harley must know that they won’t be able to sell back into U.S. without paying a big tax!” he tweeted Tuesday.
Trump added on Sunday that the company would likely take a “big hit”, stating that people buying Harley-Davidson’s motorcycles don’t want them built in foreign countries.
Since the motorcycle manufacturer’s announcement, Trump has shifted from condemnation of the company’s decision to pleading with Harley-Davidson to keep its production domestic.
