The woman who accused Rep. Blake Farenthold (R-Texas) of sexual harassment said in a recent interview that it has “been a tough road,” describing her struggle to find a new job since she left Capitol Hill.

“It’s definitely turned my life upside down,” Lauren Greene told Politico.

“It’s been a tough road. Emotionally, it was tough. Professionally, it’s been hard to figure out next steps. And it’s definitely had an impact on my career.”

{mosads}Politico noted that Greene settled with Farenthold for $84,000, but said she and her attorney did not verify the details of the settlement.

Farenthold denied the allegations in the lawsuit, which included sexual harassment and gender discrimination.

“It stagnated my career a bit. I would say it’s been hard to kind of find that next step,” Greene told CNN’s “Anderson Cooper 360” late Monday.

“I’ve had a lot of short-term employment and, you know, a lot of temp work, you know, which has been great. But, yes, I just haven’t been able to get back to where I was. And, you know, which is unfortunate.”
