CNN reporter Drew Griffin on Wednesday rescued a man who drove into a ravine on live TV while covering the flooding in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey in Texas.
The man apparently drove his truck over a ravine that looked like a water-covered road. Griffin said he saw him drive over the ravine and pulled him out of the water.
{mosads}“There was no time to call 911,” he said. “He was floating down this ravine.”
The cameras kept recording during the rescue and recorded him walking with the man away from the water.
The man’s truck was seen floating down the ravine after he was pulled out. Griffin stressed the dangers that he was seeing in the streets and asked people not to venture outdoors unnecessarily.
The man, who told CNN his name was Jerry, thanked Griffin for saving him.
“I want to thank these guys for saving my life,” he said told the camera.
