The country’s largest oil refinery is shutting down in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, which has brought devastating flooding to the Houston region.

“In response to increasing local flood conditions,” Motiva is shutting down its Port Arthur, Texas, plant, CNN reported.

On Tuesday, Motiva had been running at only 40 percent capacity after decreasing production in the wake of Harvey.

The refinery will resume operations once flood waters recede.

Harvey made landfall in Texas last Friday as a Category 4 hurricane.

On Wednesday, Harvey, which is now a tropical storm, made landfall again in southwest Louisiana.

President Trump visited Texas on Tuesday amid ongoing recovery efforts and plans to return to the state on Saturday.

More than 13,000 people have been rescued in the aftermath of the storm, which continues to devastate the area.
