Durbin: WH should release any tapes from ‘s—hole’ meeting
Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) called for the White House to release any recordings it might have of a bipartisan immigration reform meeting during which President Trump reportedly called some nations “shithole countries.”
Durbin, who confirmed Trump’s reported remarks last week, said he didn’t record the meeting because visitors to the Oval Office are required to turn over their phones, but called on the administration to release any tapes of the meeting if they exist.{mosads}
“I want to just call on the White House right now, release whatever you have. If they don’t have it, so be it,” Durbin told reporters.
Durbin also said that he stands “behind every word that I said in terms of that meeting.”

Trump, who has been criticized by both parties for the alleged remarks, attacked Durbin on Twitter Monday, saying that “Dicky Durbin totally misrepresented what was said at the DACA meeting.”
Senator Dicky Durbin totally misrepresented what was said at the DACA meeting. Deals can’t get made when there is no trust! Durbin blew DACA and is hurting our Military.

Trump also suggested that he “probably should record future meetings” in a tweet last week denying that he made the comments.
Never said anything derogatory about Haitians other than Haiti is, obviously, a very poor and troubled country. Never said “take them out.” Made up by Dems. I have a wonderful relationship with Haitians. Probably should record future meetings – unfortunately, no trust!
