Former Miss Universe: Donald Trump called me ‘Miss Piggy’
Former Miss Universe Alicia Machado claims Donald Trump called her “Miss Piggy” and “Miss Housekeeping” after she gained weight following her 1996 coronation.
“Inside Edition” ran a segment Thursday dedicated to Machado’s experiences with the presumptive GOP presidential nominee when he managed the beauty pageant. In the video, Machado is asked whether she thinks Trump is a bully, to which she replies, “yes. Totally.”
The segment says Trump “demanded” Machado lose weight and called her “an eating machine” on the Howard Stern Show.
“She weighed 118 pounds or 117 pounds, and she went up to 160 or 70, so this is someone that likes to eat,” Trump told reporters in a media event he orchestrated to publicize Machado joining a gym.
Machado, who will receive American citizenship in time to vote in the 2016 election, laughed off a reporter’s question on whether she would vote for Trump.
Hillary Clinton on Twitter suggested she’d welcome her support.
Congratulations on becoming a U.S. citizen, Alicia. Enjoy casting that vote. https://t.co/jewmwZrrOA
