Xi, Kim meet in northern China
Chinese President Xi Jinping met Monday and Tuesday with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, Chinese state media reported.
The meeting was held in the northern Chinese city of Dalian. It is Kim’s second trip to China to meet with Xi in recent weeks, following a March trip to Beijing.

“In a cordial and friendly atmosphere, the top leaders of the two parties and the two countries had an all-round and in-depth exchange of views on China-DPRK relations and major issues of common concern,” Xinhua news agency said.
Kim reportedly left China Tuesday afternoon.
Kim’s travels to China come as North Korea opens up relations with the rest of the world. The North Korean leader recently crossed into South Korea for the first time and met with South Korean President Moon Jae-in.
He is expected to meet with President Trump in the coming weeks as the U.S. pushes for denuclearization in North Korea. A date and location have not yet been announced.
Trump tweeted Tuesday morning that he would be speaking with Xi on Tuesday about North Korea and trade.
