Facebook’s Zuckerberg has spoken with Trump numerous times on the phone: report

Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg reportedly has spoken with President Trump multiple times on the phone since Trump was elected president.

The Facebook CEO made the comments when speaking with a family in Ohio, Business Insider reported.

Zuckerberg, the founder and public face of tech giant Facebook, has spoken against the president’s actions in the past.

{mosads}He criticized the president’s executive orders on immigration, saying in January he is “concerned” about the impact of recent executive orders signed by the president. The president’s travel ban was unpopular with many firms in Silicon Valley.

“We need to keep this country safe, but we should do that by focusing on people who actually pose a threat,” he said in a post.

“Expanding the focus of law enforcement beyond people who are real threats would make all Americans less safe by diverting resources, while millions of undocumented folks who don’t pose a threat will live in fear of deportation.”

Zuckerberg’s recent actions have stirred some speculation he may run for the White House.

In January though, Zuckerberg said he has “no plans” to run for president.

“Mark has no plans to run for president. He is focused on building the Facebook community and working on the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative,” the Facebook spokesperson told The Hill in January, referring to the philanthropic group he founded with his wife, Dr. Priscilla Chan.
