Qualcomm accuses Apple of sharing proprietary information with Intel

Qualcomm filed a lawsuit against Apple on Wednesday, accusing the iPhone maker of sharing proprietary information with Intel, a competing chipmaker, Bloomberg reported.

According to the report, the lawsuit states that Apple emailed Qualcomm asking for product information with an Intel engineer copied on the message.

The new lawsuit is the latest escalation of a long-running legal battle between the two companies. Apple has accused its chip supplier of unfairly charging companies for using products from other manufacturers.

Qualcomm countersued Apple back in April for an alleged breach of contract.

The latest lawsuit, which was filed in California state court, comes days after Bloomberg had reported that Apple is designing the latest iPhones and iPads without Qualcomm parts.
