Suze Orman: Sen. Warren is ‘the real deal’

Greg Nash
Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) jokingly introduces herself to Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.) before a press conference to raise awareness of student loan debt on May 14.

If it’s between Team Warren or Team Clinton in 2016, financial guru Suze Orman says she’s firmly in the Massachusetts senator’s camp.

In a clip from her interview with Larry King on Ora.tv’s “PoliticKING,” Orman says she would vote for Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D) “hands down.”

“She is the real deal. I think that woman — I couldn’t have enough good things to say about Elizabeth Warren,” says Orman.

When King asks if she would support Warren in a White House bid against Hillary Clinton — who has not announced any 2016 plans — Orman replied she would.

Although she “loves” the former secretary of State, Orman says she “really loves” Warren. But the author and financial adviser thinks Warren is being honest when she has stated repeatedly that she’s not running for president: “She said she wasn’t going to run and she’s the type of person that doesn’t play, she doesn’t politicking, so when she says she’s not gonna run — but if she ran I think there would be a challenge there.”
