Santorum: Romney’s a boss who shouldn’t be president

He called the former Massachusetts governor out for campaigning during his political career as a liberal Republican when it was convenient.

“While he was a successful businessman, he is a Massachusetts moderate to liberal governor who has changed his opinion on just about every issue out there,” Santorum said. “He ran as a liberal the first time. He ran as a moderate the second time. He ran as a conservative the third time. It is just a fact.”

Portraying Romney as out of touch isn’t exactly a new route of attack for the former Massachusetts governor’s opponents, but lately criticism of Romney has focused on his time as head of private equity firm Bain Capital. Romney has claimed he created a total of 100,000 jobs at Bain, but critics have charged that those numbers aren’t entirely accurate and that Romney oversaw layoffs of thousands of employees from companies that Bain acquired.
