Congressman is a Men’s Wearhouse fan

Its commercials claim, “You’re going to like the way you look; I guarantee it,” and Rep. David Dreier seems to be a believer in Men’s Wearhouse. 

According to financial disclosure forms, the California Republican has invested at least $1,000 in stock in the Houston-based retailer.

{mosads}The records reviewed by The Hill indicate the suit-wearing congressman ponied up anywhere from $1,001 to $15,001 for the stock — at least .035 percent of his minimum net worth.

Dreier has gained an online following for his taste in menswear. When he announced earlier this year that he wouldn’t seek a 17th term, the website GetKempt.com called the news “a dark day for congressional style.”

The fashion site added the “dandy congressman” is “widely considered the best-dressed congressman in the House of Representatives.”

In a Yahoo forum in 2008, another Dreier fan noted his “dapper suites [sic] with ties matching his neatly folded pocket squares.”

A separate poster agreed, writing, “Yes, he is very well-dressed — great suits, indeed.”

Dreier’s office didn’t get back to us on whether the lawmaker stocks his closets with suits from Men’s Wearhouse.
