House Majority PAC takes aim at Rigell
{mosads}The 30-second spot from the House Majority PAC features a Rigell-labeled car breaking down and creating a traffic jam, to eventually be picked up and towed away by a truck labeled with his Democratic opponent’s name, Paul Hirschbiel.
“Scott Rigell seemed like a reliable choice for Congress, but after only two years in Washington, he’s already breaking down,” a voiceover says.
The ad goes on to cite what it labels his votes against tax cuts for the middle class, his vote to keep tax cuts for oil companies and millionaires and his support for Rep. Paul Ryan’s (R-Wis.) budget, which the ad says was a vote “to end Medicare as we know it.”
It will run on a $140,000 buy for two weeks.
Rigell is facing a tough reelection fight against Hirschbiel in a redrawn district that leans Republican, but a state that voted for Obama in 2008. As such, he stayed home from the Republican National Convention to campaign last week.
