Josh Romney open to future run for office

“I’m not ruling anything in or out,” Romney told the Deseret News. “But obviously, having spent the last couple of years on the political trail, it’s hard to give all that up.”

Romney, who mulled a run for office last election cycle, promised he would stay involved in the state, specifically to help congressional candidate Mia Love in her second attempt to defeat Rep. Jim Matheson (D-Utah).

{mosads}”I care a lot about politics. I care a lot about what’s happening in this state and will remain involved,” he said. “I haven’t made any decisions on anything like that … I’m just really focused on my family and work right now and not looking at any particular office.”

Josh Romney is just one of many in the family who have mulled running for office in recent years — a few other Romneys were discussed as potential Senate candidates in Michigan, where some of the family still lives — but he seems to be the one who’s giving a run for office the most serious consideration.
