Boehner: Egypt army ‘did what they had to do’ in ousting Morsi

{mosads}White House Spokesman Jay Carney said Monday that “tens of millions” of Egyptians joined the call for Morsi’s ouster after his Muslim Brotherhood government sought to consolidate its power while failing to fix the country’s economy.

U.S. law requires that the United States freeze funding in cases where the military unseats democratically elected leaders, but U.S. administrations have had a mixed record in how they interpret the law.
