Walker, Rubio, Ron Paul to stump with Cuccinelli

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R), Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) and former Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) will all campaign with Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli (R) in the closing days of his campaign, according to the Richmond Times-Dispatch.

The trio of prominent Republicans could help Cuccinelli boost GOP turnout in a race that appears to be firmly in Democrat Terry McAuliffe’s (D) grasp.

Rubio has already been down to stump with Cuccinelli. He and Walker are both viewed as potential presidential candidates in 2016. Paul’s son, Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), is as well and has already campaigned for the attorney general.

McAuliffe has led every poll of the race since mid-July, and has had his own big-name surrogates on the campaign trail: Former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton (D), close friends of the former Democratic National Committee chairman, as well as President Obama and Vice President Joe Biden.
