Wednesday’s meeting announcements: FEC to talk Gary Johnson campaign

Federal agencies and advisory commissions will get together in the next few weeks.

Here’s a look at what’s coming:

The Federal Election Commission will hold a meeting in Washington on Nov. 14 to discuss a number of draft advisory opinions and determine whether Gary Johnson’s 2012 presidential campaign was entitled to primary election public funds.

Also on Nov. 14, the Tennessee Valley Authority’s board of directors will hold a meeting in Oxford, Miss., to review a number of reports from its finance, risk, external relations and nuclear oversight committees. 

An advisory board for museum and library sciences is meeting on Nov. 15 at the Birmingham Public Library in Birmingham, Ala. 

On Nov. 18, the Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board is meeting to discuss a series of proposals. 

The Neighborhood Reinvestment Corporation is holding a meeting on Nov. 21. 

Also on Nov. 21, the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology, which operates under the Energy Department, is meeting in Washington. 

The U.S. Mint’s citizen’s advisory committee for coinage is meeting in Washington on Nov. 22.

The Coast Guard’s advisory council for navigation safety is meeting on Dec. 3 and 4 in Portsmouth, Va., to discuss collision and ramming issues.

On Dec. 4, the Overseas Private Investment Corp. is holding a hearing in conjunction with its board of directors’ meeting to allow the public to weigh in on its work.

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office is also meeting on Dec. 4. The office will hold a roundtable in Alexandria, Va., to hear about the difficulty of submitting and collecting some patent applications. 

On Dec. 4 and 5 in Washington, the Environmental Protection Agency’s science advisory board is getting together. 

The Census Bureau’s advisory committee for federal economic statistics is meeting in Suitland, Md., on Dec. 13.
