Romney breaks out ‘Gangnam Style’

Former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney broke out his “Gangnam Style” dance moves at a regional conference for the Mormon Church, in a video posted Monday by musician Alex Boye.

The former Massachusetts governor is seen dancing across the stage, mimicking the style popularized in the hit from South Korean artist Psy.

According to the Desert News, Romney and his wife, Ann, spoke to young adult attendees at the conference about success and overcoming obstacles.

“There is a great deal of chance, or serendipity, or even luck to success in business, in politics, in science, in academics, in investments, in winning and losing.”

He also joked about his unsuccessful presidential bid, noting at one point that he was sharing a stage with the presidents of five stakes — administrative units within the Mormon church.

“I am the only man on the stage that is not president,” joked Romney. “I tried to fix that.”

In 2012, President Obama was criticized for meeting and shaking hands with Psy after an 8-year-old video in which the rapper calls for the killing of “Yankees who have been torturing Iraqi captives” surfaced.

Psy issued an apology for his remarks before meeting with the president, calling the comments “part of a deeply emotional reaction to the war in Iraq.”
