Koch-backed group drops another $400K in Florida ad buy

Americans for Prosperity (AFP), the Koch brothers-backed conservative group, is spending another $400,000 in Florida to hit Democratic Reps. Joe Garcia and Alan Grayson on ObamaCare.

{mosads}The group has already hit Garcia on the healthcare law, and its new ad sounds a frequent theme in Republican attacks, tying him to President Obama’s erroneous claim that Americans could keep their insurance under the Affordable Care Act, which was labeled the “Lie of the Year” by PolitiFact.

But they’re hitting the outspoken, liberal Grayson — who isn’t considered vulnerable — with their first ad this cycle, currently just online. The ad again ties the congressman to Obama’s claim, and features a clip of Graysong saying, “Everyone will love this bill.”

The narrator urges viewers to call Grayson and “tell him his vote for ObamaCare is hurting Florida families.”

The two new ads follow one launched on Wednesday in Rep. Steve Southerland’s (R-Fla.) district, thanking the congressman for his work opposing the health care law.

AFP has spent more than $27 million since August knocking Democrats and thanking Republicans for their work against the law, and leaders for the group have indicated the barrage of attacks will only grow in coming months.
