Vice President Biden and second lady Jill Biden will travel to Chile and the Dominican Republic in March, the White House announced Thursday.

In Chile, Biden will attend the inauguration of incoming president Michelle Bachelet. Bachelet served as the country’s president from 2006 through 2010, but Chilean presidents are unable to serve consecutive terms.

She will retake her job from Sebastian Pinera, who famously broke with White House protocol and sat behind the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office during a visit to the United States last year.

Biden has traveled frequently to Latin American countries in recent months, promoting transportation infrastructure and trade. Last year, he visited Colombia, Panama, Mexico, and Trinidad and Tobago, according to the Associated Press.
