Blunt: O-Care horror stories are ‘not all untrue’

Sen. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.) countered Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s (D-Nev.) remarks that all of the ObamaCare “horror stories” are lies, saying, “they are not all untrue.”

Blunt was responding to remarks Reid made on the Senate floor Wednesday.

{mosads}Reid said the “horror stories” told in anti-ObamaCare ads are “all lies.”

“Republicans may need tall tales and outright lies to convince the public that ObamaCare is bad for them. But Democrats, we don’t have to make things up,” Reid said.

On Thursday, Blunt said Reid must think Missourians have “wild imaginations” because he gets letters nearly every day from his constituents complaining about negative effects of the healthcare law.

Blunt went on to tell the story of a senior who will no longer receive subsidies for Medicare Advantage, a private insurance option. Last week, the administration announced cuts to the program.
