Obama takes break from golf … for bike ride
President Obama is taking a break from golf and setting out on a bicycle ride with the family.
{mosads}A White House press pool report on Friday started by stating: “Spoiler alert: This is not a golf outing.”
The president has been a regular on the golf course since arriving for a two-week vacation in Martha’s Vineyard, Mass., Saturday. But on Friday, it was time to pedal — the White House saying Obama was biking with first lady Michelle Obama and their 16-year-old daughter, Malia.
The bike ride in the Manuel F. Correllus State Forest has become a bit of a tradition for the Obama clan. The first family has been spotted nearly every year hitting the bike trail there during their summer vacation.
The Obamas, all wearing bike helmets and athletic wear, were eyed pedaling at a “leisurely pace” by the White House press pool.
A CNN producer posted a photo on Twitter of Malia Obama — who was reportedly sporting a Stanford t-shirt — riding along with her dad:
Beautiful day for a ride with your daughter, wife, security detail and press pool. Ah vineyard life! pic.twitter.com/leSjOMU9Tv
