Lawmaker: We were warned about ISIS
A House Intelligence Committee member says there’s no excuse for President Obama to be caught flat-footed on the ISIS threat.
{mosads}”On the Intelligence Committee we’ve been aware of ISIS for at least a year … [back in] January of this year General Flynn — who is the head of the Defense Intelligence Agency — he warned that ISIS was going to be a major threat this year, so I don’t know how the president possibly could have not known … he gets more intelligence than we do and we were told a year ago and certainly eight months ago that ISIS was a definite, definite threat,” Rep. Pete King (R-N.Y.) told The Hill.
The Obama administration has suggested that the intelligence community underestimated ISIS, but recent media reports indicate that the president received detailed — and accurate — information on ISIS.
