Bristol Palin rips coverage of family brawl

Bristol Palin is speaking out about her alleged involvement in an alcohol-infused brawl at a birthday party in Alaska, blasting the “liberal media” for what she describes as its hypocrisy in writing about her family.

In a Wednesday post on Patheos.com, the 24-year-old daughter of former GOP vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin writes that she wants to set the record straight on the September fight that one eyewitness described as right out of an episode of “The Jerry Springer Show.”

{mosads}“Let me tell you what actually happened,” Palin says, in a lengthy post. “Our friend got knocked out from a cheap shot from behind,” the former “Dancing With the Stars” contestant writes, claiming, “The guy was on social media during this incident, tweeting, ‘about to get famous.’ ”

According to Palin, after another female partygoer “pushed” her younger sister, Willow, she attempted to approach the woman. Before she could, Bristol Palin says a man at the party “got in my face,” screaming obscenities and pushing her down.

A witness quoted in a police report says Bristol Palin hit a man “about five times.” The report states, “The witness said he never hit her back and was pushing her arms down when [Bristol] tried to hit him.”

“I didn’t ‘swing and hit him seven times with a strong right hook’ as so many so-called news stories have reported,” says Palin, “After this incident, I still had a perfect manicure on all ten of my nails.  Plus — I’m left handed. I wouldn’t even begin to know how to begin ‘swinging’ at someone.”

In her post, Palin, mother to a five-year-old son, targets the offspring of several prominent Democrats, saying the “friends and family of the revered liberal elite are treated like delicate China.”

She notes a Wall Street Journal report last week that Hunter Biden was discharged from the Navy Reserve this year after testing positive for cocaine. “In the meantime, did you even hear about Vice President Joe Biden’s adult son who kicked out of the Navy for cocaine?  (That’s the real Vice President’s kid…)  So pause for a moment and consider the hysteria over our stupid ‘incident’, compared to our actual Vice President’s son not even being able to hold on to a position in the Navy Reserve.”

Palin continues, “I’m sure you heard the happy news that Chelsea Clinton had a baby. But did you know her father-in-law and Clinton family pal Edward Mezvinsky is a convicted felon because of committing bank, wire, and mail fraud?”

“In the meantime,” Palin writes, “I was pushed and held down by some guy… and the media salivates like a dog that’s just been given a bone.”
