Prince William will meet with President Obama and Vice President Biden in his first visit to the White House during a trip to Washington next week.

White House press secretary Josh Earnest announced the visit at his briefing on Friday.

The Obama and Biden meeting is part of a whirlwind visit to the nation’s capital on Monday by the heir to the British throne. His trip includes a luncheon and anti-corruption conference at the World Bank.

{mosads}According to official (and wonderfully formal) guidance provided by the British Embassy: “The Duke will be received by President Barack Obama and also pay a call on Vice-President Joseph Biden and Dr. Biden at the White House on Monday 8th December.”

Prince William and Kate Middleton are traveling to the United States together, and will attend a number of events in New York. But the duchess — who’s pregnant with the royal couple’s second child — will stay in the Big Apple when Prince William travels to D.C.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge last visited the U.S. in 2011, when they traveled to California. The Obamas were greeted by then-newlyweds Prince William and Middleton at Buckingham Palace during a trip to the United Kingdom back in 2011.

Prince William’s brother, Prince Harry, surprised White House guests at a Mother’s Day tea for service members with Michelle Obama in 2013.

The British Embassy also announced that Prince William will attend a reception on wildlife conservation next week in New York, co-hosted by The Royal Foundation and the Clinton Foundation. Former secretary of State Hillary Clinton and daughter Chelsea Clinton are both expected to attend.
