Rich Lowry on Trump: Fiorina ‘cut his balls off’

Donald Trump is lashing out at the editor of the National Review, who in a Fox News television appearance on Wednesday night used coarse language to argue that Carly Fiorina had destroyed the GOP front-runner in the previous week’s debate.

“Last debate, let’s be honest, Carly cut his balls off with the precision of a surgeon and he knows it,” National Review editor Rich Lowry said during an appearance Wednesday night on Fox News’s “The Kelly File.”

{mosads}Trump called Lowry a “loser,” said no one reads the National Review and argued the Federal Communications Commission should fine the pundit in a string of interviews and tweets.

“You had this loser on last night, this guy Lowry — I had never even heard of him. He was so out of control … it was actually sad,” the billionaire businessman said Thursday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”

The Republican presidential front-runner continued his broadside on CNN’s “New Day,” suggesting Lowry and other Fox News commentators exhibited a “level of hatred” for Trump.

“It looked like he was having a nervous breakdown on television,” Trump said. “He’s a total fool … He lost it. It was wonderful watching this guy lose it, because he’s a bad guy.”

Lowry’s comments appeared to surprise Fox News’s Megyn Kelly, who has also been a target of Trump’s.

“What did you just say?” she said after his remark, putting a hand over her forehead. “You can’t say that.”

Trump, who said he was watching the Fox segment on his way back from campaign events in South Carolina, initially took to Twitter on Wednesday night, demanding an apology:

Lowry shot back after Trump called the commentator “incompetent.”

“I don’t mind being criticized,” Trump said Thursday on CNN, suggesting he had “thick skin” when he does something wrong, though he declined to name a specific example.

“When I’m right or when I don’t deserve something, I think it’s very, very unfair to speak incorrectly,” he said, maintaining that he was being unfairly treated in a feud with Fox News.

Trump on Wednesday said he would no longer appear on the network because of its coverage of him, while Fox attributed his moratorium to a canceled appearance.
